Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-26. This Policy explains what information WorldWideWineList collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, date of birth (for age verification).
- Orders: shipping address, items purchased, payment confirmation (we never store full card numbers — Stripe holds those).
- Sommelier sessions: questions you ask and the wines we recommend, to improve the service.
- Technical: IP address, browser, page paths, for security and analytics.
How we use it
- To process and ship your order.
- To verify you're 21+ as required by law.
- To improve the Sommelier's recommendations.
- To send order receipts and (with your opt-in) curated recommendations.
Who we share with
- Drop-ship and warehouse fulfillment partners — only the data needed to ship your order.
- Payment processor (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), age verification provider, and tax/duty calculation services.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Access, correct, or delete your data — email privacy@worldwidewinelist.com.
- Opt out of marketing email at any time via the unsubscribe link.
- Manage non-essential cookies on the Privacy Choices page.
Data retention
We retain order records for as long as required by alcohol-shipping regulations (typically 7 years). Sommelier session transcripts are kept for 24 months. Marketing data is kept until you opt out.
